SPAR Offers Retail Merchandising Service on Wheels
February 28, 2003.

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. - February 28, 2003 - SPAR Group, a
provider of retail merchandising services, has launched a "first-of-its-kind" motorized retail
merchandising service called Mobile Project Headquarters.
Built from a 32-foot Holiday Rambler recreational vehicle, each mobile
can transport up to six retail merchandisers to new-store set-ups
and major store remodels anywhere in the country.
Each vehicle has the technological capability to assign projects, resolve issues and
report progress via real-time Internet communications. The goal is to speed retail
merchandising of a store and to help chains make more money by opening their stores faster
than in the past.
In addition to a wireless desktop computer and wireless notebook computers
for store use, each vehicle carries a wireless camera to take and transmit
photographs of store build-outs and remodelings in real time. A wireless
local area network provides Internet access within 300 feet of the vehicle,
making it possible for merchandising specialists to view instructions and
planograms online, resolve issues in real time and upload completion reports
and photos as they happen.
There are several planned vehicles in the fleet. The first, launched
this month, has been dispatched to set-up major new retail stores
across the country.
